The Method

The Video Interaction Guidance (in Hungary called ‘videotraining’), which is of Dutch origin, is a short, intensive, facilitative and developmental method for parents, teachers and other professionals in the helping, social and health care sectors. It is primarily used for relationship development through the analysis of video recordings of communication situations. The method is effective not only in families but also in institutional settings: nurseries, kindergartens, schools, children’s institutions, hospitals, social institutions, for example, to improve the relationship between the carer and the cared-for person. In addition to improving the adult-child relationship, the method can also be used to improve adult-adult communication: organizational development and teamwork.
